ENRICHMENT

The Enrichment Programme offers the students an opportunity to develop and broaden their horizons through a range of activities both school based and based in the wider community.

All Year 12 students will follow an enrichment programme on Wednesday afternoons. They will be able to change their option at the beginning of each term.

Programmes running:

PRIMARY LINKS
This enrichment activity is an opportunity for students to make connections with local primary schools and work with younger students with reading, writing and maths.

DAME BETTY’S MISSION DINE CLUB
During this Enrichment programme students are given the invaluable experience of giving something back to their community in the form of voluntary work.

LANGUAGES
As a Language College the offer of a language as an enrichment subject represents an opportunity for students to learn a new language for leisure purposes and enjoy exploring the culture of that particular country.

FILM STUDIES
The Film Studies course is an ideal opportunity to remove yourself from the boring, everyday television and media that you may encounter and actually become a part of someone else’s reality.

PEER MENTORING
The Mentoring department is looking for some 6th formers to come and support their mentees in any sort of diplomatic support i.e. What the Mentoring Department want is someone that their younger mentees can look up to like a big sister… like a buddy.

SPORTS
There are a variety of sporting/ recreational activities within the consortium which include table tennis, basketball, badminton and football. There are further links with Willesden Leisure Centre and a number of activities including athletics are led by professional coaches after school and at weekends.

ART
Art enrichment focuses on fashion. We look behind the scenes to discover various designers and their sources of inspiration. Also included in the programme is a visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum to gain further insight into the history of fashion design.

DRAMA
Drama enables students to display their talent both on stage and behind the scenes ending in a final production staged at regular intervals.

INNISFREE HOUSING
Students visit the home and work with the residents on projects like how to use the internet and how to send e-mails.
