What the new syllabus has to offer.

The new Specification reflects the growing importance of media studies as a subject and allows students to engage with contemporary media
The course offers a mix of theoretical and practical work, with a widespread choice of briefs which allows students to choose topics of interest with an element of flexibility
It is up to the minute as the course has been designed in consultation with industry media experts allowing for progression into this field of work if desired
There are four units over the two year course now rather than the previous six. Two out of these four units are coursework based and now represent 50% of the A-Level. The coursework allows for a much more ij depth portfolio of work to be created covering a more widespread selection of media working together.
