What the new syllabus has to offer.
- The new Specification reflects the growing importance of media studies as a subject and allows students to engage with contemporary media
- The course offers a mix of theoretical and practical work, with a widespread choice of briefs which allows students to choose topics of interest with an element of flexibility
- It is up to the minute as the course has been designed in consultation with industry media experts allowing for progression into this field of work if desired
- There are four units over the two year course now rather than the previous six. Two out of these four units are coursework based and now represent 50% of the A-Level. The coursework allows for a much more ij depth portfolio of work to be created covering a more widespread selection of media working together.
